Shipping & Live Arrival Policy

At Wasatch Feeder Insects, we do our best to pack and ship healthy, active live feeder insects with care. Because live insects are sensitive to temperature, delivery timing, and handling after arrival, please review the policy below before placing your order.

Shipping Days

Live feeder insects are shipped on select business days to help reduce the chance of weekend delays. Orders may be held temporarily during extreme weather or carrier delays to protect the health of the insects.

Processing Time

Most orders are prepared and packed as quickly as possible. Processing times may vary depending on order volume, weather conditions, inventory availability, and shipping carrier schedules.

Temperature & Weather

Live insects should not sit outside in extreme heat or cold. During severe weather, we may delay shipping to improve the chance of a healthy arrival. Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and bringing packages indoors promptly once delivered.

Live Arrival Guidelines

To qualify for live arrival support, the package must be brought indoors promptly after delivery. Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

  • Track your shipment and be available on delivery day.
  • Do not leave live insects outside in direct sun, freezing temperatures, or extreme heat.
  • Open the package as soon as possible after delivery.
  • Move insects into a ventilated keeper with food and moisture.

If There Is an Issue With Your Order

If your live feeder insects arrive in poor condition, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the unopened or recently opened package. This helps us review the issue and determine the best next step.

Live arrival support may include replacement, store credit, or another resolution at our discretion. Shipping fees may not always be refundable.

Live Arrival Support May Not Apply If:

  • The package was left outside after delivery.
  • The delivery address was incorrect or incomplete.
  • The carrier was unable to deliver due to access issues.
  • The customer was unavailable to receive or retrieve the package.
  • The insects were exposed to extreme heat or cold after delivery.
  • The issue was reported more than 2 hours after delivery.

Local Delivery & Pickup

If local delivery or pickup is available, details will be provided during checkout or through direct communication with Wasatch Feeder Insects. Local orders should still be handled promptly once received.

Care After Arrival

Once your insects arrive, place them in a well-ventilated container with egg crate or climbing material, a dry food source, and a safe moisture source such as cricket water crystals or fresh produce. Avoid excess humidity, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures.
